Our Core Beliefs
Any group of players that forms within a game have at their core common goals and values.
This shared vision must always be acknowledged, and applied to the approach the group takes to furthering themselves in game.
In OA we have a simple set of core beliefs that holds true for all our members -
Activity
Being part of a wider community and being a contributing member of it takes time, and consistent activity. Those who choose to join a community in order to become better than the average player must also accept the commitment to time required.
We expect all our members to understand and accept that joining OA is a commitment to activity, availability and effort put into making the community work for all members.
Communication
As with any other community - the key to success is in open and constant communication between the members.
To that end, OA uses our forums and IMs (msn, icq) as the backbone of communication as well as irc and teamspeak where appropriate for specialised organisation.
Our members are required to at a minimum maintain contact on the forums, in game and through IMs where possible to make organisation easier.
Respect
As a community we try and maintain the highest standard of respect both internally and in interacting with those around us.
We believe in always trying to do the right thing by those around us - and we recognise the varied backgrounds of our members as well as those who play the games we play.
We value that our members keep an open mind regarding the opinions of those around them, and acknowledge that others wont always have the same point of view.
Development
We recognise that people who join a community want to be better than your average player. So we strive to put the time in to learn the game, write guides, discuss strategies, and provide a forum for players to develop themselves.
We also expect our members to continue contributing to discussions and helping those around them learn the games we all play.
fidelis et fortis.
loyalty and strength.
